Regional Vice President and Acting Director of Consulting

A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Way is a veteran of the Coast Guard, a graduate of the Coast Guard Academy, and holds an MBA from Golden Gate University. He served as the Quality Advisor to the Commandant of the Coast Guard and feels the position prepared him well for his role at CI. "It really taught me how government works and the challenges inherent in Washington DC," he says. The combination of his military experience and subsequent education have made him a highly skilled executive coach and strategic planner. Jeff cites challenging assumptions as one of his most important skills.

A History of Learning

Mr. Way cites Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as a life-changing influence. "It challenged me to write a personal mission statement," he says. "I learned a lot about myself." He also points to The Lessons of History by Will and Ariel Durant and the leadership lessons of Winston Churchill, Peter Drucker, and Peter Senge. The best part of working at CI, he says, is "The ability to learn and grow in a supported environment."
